슈퍼바이징 디렉터 린 타로와 그 휘화 감독들의 연출도 훌륭하고 (특히 OVA ep.1),

카즈 토야마의 음악이 압권이었다. 

Now this should need no introduction. Needless to say, I still artist Kazz Toyama's find the choice of instruments and style to be completely anachronistic and inappropriate given the setting and subject matter of the story. However at a basic level, the music WORKS. It ranges from the moody, dark, atmospheric, menacing, and sad; very appropriate for the tone of the anime. I also have to take into account too that, unlike the movies, DOOMED MEGALOPOLIS was a low budget production. Thus, Toyama had to work with what he could he did the best he could. Although the guitar riffs occasionally bring up memories of playing DYNASTY WARRIORS, there are still enough good pieces in here (such as the piano medley at the end of the first track) to make for an interesting listen.
