DISCLOSURE

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence – such is the case on Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs). I have had no personal firsthand experience with either, but there is evidence mounting, and it has been significant enough that it has captured my attention. I want to share the way I think about this — not as a believer, not as a skeptic, but as someone who takes data seriously enough to know when too much is happening not to pay attention.

THE GOVERNMENT’S PREPAREDNESS PLAN

On August 31, 2026, at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the UAP Science Advisory Council was informed that the United States government has a ‘preparedness plan in place’ should the existence of nonhuman intelligence (NHI) be confirmed. The US is also prepared to take an international leadership role if necessary.

This does not mean the government has confirmed NHI exists. It means the possibility has been taken seriously enough to warrant advance planning and that the White House considers the consequences significant enough to prepare for.

THE EVIDENCE: GOVERNMENT AND DOD OFFICIALS COMING FORWARD

The level of prominent government officials and DoD officials who have come forward disclosing their experiences, at potentially great harm to their own reputation and career, is itself a signal worth paying attention to.

David Grusch, former National Reconnaissance Office intelligence officer and UAP Task Force member, testified under oath before Congress in July 2023 that the US government maintains a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse-engineering program. He stated the US has recovered “non-human biologics” from crash sites. His testimony was based on interviews with 40 witnesses over 4 years. Grusch held Top Secret/SCI clearances and was a decorated intelligence officer. He faced retaliation for coming forward.

Luis Elizondo, former head of the Pentagon’s AATIP program, has publicly stated that UAPs demonstrate “technologies that we don’t have and, frankly, that we are not capable of defending against.” He has described being warned about threats to his safety for speaking out.

Marco Rubio, then-Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chairman, stated that individuals with “high clearances and high positions within our government” with “firsthand knowledge” of UAPs were “fearful of harm coming to them.”

Donald Trump said in 2024: “I have access, and I speak to people about it. I’ve had actually 15 meetings on it. And they will tell you there’s something going on.”

Well over 100 former military officers and government officials have reported UAP incidents at military bases and nuclear weapons facilities, including shutdowns of nuclear missiles during UAP encounters (Malmstrom AFB, 1967; Robert Salas, Robert Hastings’ research documenting 100+ cases of UAP-nuclear correlations).

THE CONSISTENCY OF EXPERIENCERS

The consistency of experiencers worldwide is itself a signal. Human imagination is extraordinary and diverse. If this were pure fiction, we would expect vast variety in what people report. Instead, we see remarkable consistency across cultures, decades, and continents.

Experiencer reports worldwide share common elements: craft descriptions, being descriptions, encounter patterns, and neurological effects.

Garry Nolan,PhD, Stanford professor of immunology, received MRI brain scans of pilots, intelligence agents, and others who had proximity to UAPs. He found consistent patterns in the caudate and putamen, brain regions associated with intuition and pattern recognition. These neurological changes appeared consistently across unrelated experiencers who had no contact with each other.

Jacques Vallée, the most respected UAP researcher in history, documented this consistency across decades of research spanning multiple continents. His conclusion: the pattern of UAP behavior is too consistent to be hallucination and too varied to be a single phenomenon.

THE CORRELATION: NUCLEAR AND ASI

The correlation (not necessarily causation) between UAP activity and the two most significant periods in humanity’s history is worth examining closely.

1. The Nuclear Era (1945-present): UAP sightings surged dramatically beginning in 1947, coinciding with the dawn of the atomic age. A 2023 statistical study found that countries that detonated nuclear weapons had an average of 1,588 more reported UFO sightings per country. A 2025 study analyzing 106,000 flashes of light in the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey found that transients were 68% more likely to occur the day after a nuclear weapons test.

The total amount of transient activity increased by 8.5% for every additional UAP sighting. UAPs have been documented repeatedly around nuclear facilities: Los Alamos, Hanford, Oak Ridge, Malmstrom AFB. Robert Hastings documented 100+ cases in “UFOs and Nukes.” The correlation is not just American. Soviet nuclear facilities reported similar UAP encounters.

2. The ASI Era (2020s): We are now seeing a reported increase in UAP activity that correlates with the emergence of advancing artificial superintelligence capabilities. If the nuclear era was humanity’s first civilization-scale technology, ASI may be the second. One hypothesis: both nuclear weapons and ASI represent technologies capable of fundamentally altering the trajectory of civilization, either through destruction or transcendence. If NHI are observing humanity, the two moments most worth monitoring are the moments when we develop technologies that could end or transform our civilization.

The correlation does not prove causation. But the correlation is real, it has been statistically documented, and it spans both the nuclear era (79 years of data) and what may be the beginning of the ASI era.

THE SCIENTIFIC ESTABLISHMENT IS STARTING TO PAY ATTENTION

Harvard’s Avi Loeb, PhD, chair of the UAP Science Advisory also founded the Galileo Project at Harvard to study UAPs with standard scientific instruments and rigorous data collection. Loeb has stated: “The current uncertainty about the nature of UAP reflects the inconclusive data that was released publicly so far. It should be settled by high-quality scientific data.”

NASA established a UAP Independent Study Team in 2022, publishing a report recommending more scientific study. Stanford’s Garry Nolan has published research on neurological changes in UAP experiencers. The UAP Science Advisory Council (UAPSAC) includes credentialed scientists and researchers advising the government.

A 2024 paper on arXiv by researchers including Nolan estimated the mean expected year for catastrophic NHI disclosure at 2040 (plus or minus 20 years). This was a serious quantitative analysis published in a legitimate preprint repository. A separate 2024 paper in the Journal of Scientific Exploration analyzed the statistical likelihood of catastrophic NHI disclosure, arriving at the same estimate.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

For scientists: The data is not going away. The choice is whether to study it with rigor or dismiss it with ridicule. Avi Loeb’s approach, standard instruments, rigorous data, peer review, is the only path that will yield answers.

For policymakers: The government already has a preparedness plan. The question is whether civil society will also prepare. Schools, hospitals, faith communities, and media organizations need resources to help people process whatever comes.

For investors: If NHI technology exists and is eventually disclosed, the industries affected include defense, energy, propulsion, materials science, and communications. The companies that position themselves at the intersection of scientific rigor and frontier technology will be the ones that are impacted the most.

For parents and educators: Your children will grow up in a world where the question of whether we are alone is not a philosophical thought experiment. Teach them to evaluate evidence, tolerate uncertainty, and think clearly about the biggest questions.

For the curious: You do not need to be a believer or a skeptic. You need to be someone who follows the data. The evidence is accumulating. The government is preparing. The scientists are paying attention. The only question that matters is: are you?

I am not asking you to believe. I am asking you to look. The evidence is there. The people coming forward are credible. The correlations are statistically significant. The government is preparing. The question is not whether this is real. The question is whether we are ready to take it seriously.
