시크릿, 끌어당김의 법칙 운운하는 멍청한 사이비 유튜버들이 나폴레온 힐을 인용할 때면 화가 난다

인류 역사상 최고의 사기꾼 중 한 명인 나폴레온 힐.

 

앤드루 카네기를 만난 적도 없으면서, 카네기를 만난 척 하면서 성공의 비법을 쓴 책 <Think and Grow Rich>(1937)로 명성을 얻게 된다. 성공을 해본적도 없으면서 성공에 대한 책을 써서 진짜로 성공한 케이스. (* 앤드루 카네기가 JP모건과 로스차일드 가문의 반 협박 하에 1901년, US 스틸을 매각했다는 사실은 넘어가도록 하자.)

 

이 책은 발간 후 세계적으로 6천만부가 넘게 팔렸고, 역대 self-help 책 중 판매량 순위 top.10 안에 든다.

 

사기를 쳐서 정말로 성공한 요자와 츠바사와 비슷한 케이스라고 할까나.

그런데 나폴레온 힐이 명성을 얻고 금전을 얻으려는 명확한 동기를 갖고 이런 사기극을 벌였다면, 국내외 멍청한 유튜버들은 마치 성공학의 권위자라도 되는 마냥 나폴레온 힐의 <Think and Grow Rich>을 아무 생각없이 인용하곤 해서 아로의 분노를 자아낸다.

영문 위키피디아를 한번도 체크해보지 않고 말이다.

내가 화나는 건 나폴레온 힐 보다도, 이렇게 지적으로 게으른 멍청한 유튜버들의 존재 그 자체다.

 

아로는 멍청한 인간들을 너무 싫어한다.
